Regenerative Medicine
Regenerative Medicine
PFC-FD therapy is a new treatment option for chronic arthritis, knee pain, and inflammation of muscle and tendon attachments in sports.
Regenerative medicine (biotherapy) is a treatment method that utilizes the "natural healing power" that everyone is born with. One such therapy that is already in use is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy. The growth factors released by the platelets are expected to repair or activate the tissues, promote healing of the affected area, and suppress inflammation. PRP is a liquid containing a large amount of platelets (platelet-rich plasma) obtained by centrifuging autologous blood. Growth factors contained in platelets include PDGF, FGF, EGF, VEGF, and TGF-β. Injection of these growth factors is expected to contribute to tissue healing and inflammation control in the body (affected area).
PFC-FD therapy (Platelet-Derived Factor Concentrate Freeze Dry) is a next-generation treatment method that applies this PRP therapy and improves the effectiveness and preservation PFC-FD therapy is freeze-dried (freeze-dried) growth factors extracted from autologous blood, It contains about twice as much growth factor as regular PRP.
Thus, regenerative medicine (biotherapy) is a treatment that utilizes growth factors contained in the patient's own platelets and injects them into joint and muscle tendon diseases and injuries to reduce inflammation and improve symptoms.
